The Burbridge's Story
The name Burbridge is very old, and the family is vast. We don't know about all of the Burbridges. We can not and do not speak for anyone else with the last name of Burbridge. This website only tells the story of one branch of the Burbridges in the United States, with the information provided to us. This information has come from a family member who painstakingly collected family stories (often just word of mouth) and documents from various sources. We have been doing a massive amount of research to verify names, dates, and claims; However, we have found very little information. We welcome other Burbridges input, information, corrections, documents, stories, ect. The only thing we ask is that you be kind and remember that we do not claim this story as 100% correct until we have solid proof.

This story is fairly long and honestly, at times quite dry. We have tried to design the chapters to be as easy to read as we could. We have put in a few cheat codes to help out.

In Chapter 1, we have colored the important names in red and state how far back they go. This is so that you can simply scan the page if you do not wish to know who begat who.

Hopefully this guide helps you navigate a tad easier.

Our last note is that we are really proud of our family history and are very excited to share it with anyone who is interested. It is not a requirement that you read our story, nor to believe any of it. We just hope that if you do wish to know more about our history, you can find something to tickle your fancy.
